Celebrate “Come On Let’s Go Rock ’n’ Roll Day” commemorating Ritchie Valens’ 76th Birthday with a series of events planned for the San Fernando Valley area May 12th and 13th.
Proclaimed by the Los Angeles City Council in 2016, the SoCal native and iconic Latino rock star will be honored annually to mark the anniversary of his birth and to encourage aspiring Angelenos and musical enthusiasts around the world to follow their dreams.

LA Police Commission Wants Your Input!

The Police Commission is seeking the assistance of the community by completing an online survey to express their thoughts, opinions, and concerns in regards to the LAPD’s video release policy.  Please visit www.lapdvideo.org to complete the online survey.  The survey is provided in both English/Spanish languages, and is completely confidential.

Memorial Day Observance at the Historic Pioneer Memorial Cemetery

The San Fernando Valley Historical Society will host a free Memorial Day Observance at the historic San Fernando Pioneer Memorial Cemetery in Sylmar from 11 a.m. to Noon on Monday, May 29, 2017. The cemetery is located at 14451 Bledsoe Street at the corner of Foothill Boulevard (halfway between the Roxford and Polk exits off the 210 Freeway.) Established in 1874, it is the second oldest cemetery in the San Fernando Valley.
