Today, September 4th, the City of Los Angeles celebrates its 243rd birthday!
Every year at LA2050, they mark the occasion by publishing an original e-book – an extra-special birthday card for the place we all love!
For their 2024 edition, they invited elected officials representing Los Angeles at the national, state, and local levels to share what they love about the city and their wishes for its future.
And, expanding on the theme of volunteerism from this year’s LA2050 Grants Challenge, they also asked those elected officials to nominate community leaders and volunteers from their respective districts to contribute their own birthday notes.
