As a father of two young boys, I care about the future of our neighborhood. I believe this is a good area to live and raise a family, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try to make it even better.
As a local firefighter, I believe I can be a valuable asset in negotiating for a much needed second fire station for this area. I know all too well, having fought in the Sayer fire, the unique fire problem this community faces on a daily basis.
I am troubled by the increase in homelessness in the area, and I will use my voice to fight for increased police presence in our area. I would like to see the return of the Olive festival and creation of other new family-oriented activities for our area.
I enjoy community service, I previously volunteered at Olive View Hospital and help teach fire science at a local high school. I believe that my role as a board member is to be responsive to the needs of our residents, to keep an open mind, and make sound decisions.
