Professional Development for Artists
LA County Arts & Culture is delighted to launch the next phase of the Public Artists in Development (PAiD) program: free online workshops to support artists’ career development. Workshops will cover a variety of topics from portfolio presentation, contracting, budgeting and more, and will be presented by diverse facilitators, including established public artists, administrators, and subject area experts. The first cycle of workshops will begin on July 29 and run through October 2, 2024. Click the link below or visit our website for more information and how to register. All artists are welcome to attend.
ABOUT PAID
PAiD is a new program funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to promote the career growth and economic empowerment of underrepresented artists in LA County. This program was created to address critical structural barriers to participation identified by the Civic Art Division and across the broader field of public art. The program will expand educational resources, training, mentorship, and new project opportunities to encourage the skill-building and professional readiness of diverse artists.
The PAiD Professional Development workshop series was developed and organized by Dyson & Womack.
