Public Notice - LA County Public Works

LA County Public Works Stormwater Maintenance Division-West Area will be conducting a sediment hauling operation. In preparation for the upcoming storm season, we will be removing sediment from Camp Plenty Debris Basin (map) in Santa Clarita and hauling it to May Sediment Placement Site (map) in Sylmar.  Hauling is scheduled to begin Tuesday, August 19th, and is expected to finish August 29th, weather permitting.

 Work is scheduled to occur weekdays, between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm. This sediment removal operation is necessary to ensure public safety and provide critical flood protection to downstream communities.
