On January 23rd, the Sylmar Neighborhood Council voted unanimously to OPPOSE any of the waste from the Palisades Fire and Eaton Fire coming to any of the Sylmar area landfills.

As a result of the Hurst Fire and in preparation for future storms, LA County Public Works will be removing sediment from Stetson Debris Basin in Sylmar (map) and hauling it to May Sediment Placement Site (map) in Sylmar.
