Wildlife officials have tranquilized a bear that was seen roaming a neighborhood near Hansen Dam in Pacoima on Monday afternoon.
Sky5 was over the area of Terra Bella Street and Borden Avenue at noon, where Rich Prickett said California Department of Fish and Wildlife officials, along with park rangers and the LAPD, were searching for the animal.
At around 12:40 p.m., the bear was hit in the rear end by a tranquilizer dart, and it passed out atop a brick wall.

Wildlife officials then moved in to safely collect the bear before transporting it for relocation.
This appears to be the same bear that was spotted roaming loose in the Hansen Dam area Sunday, sleeping in trees and prompting a heavy police presence.

There have been no reports of the bear acting aggressively towards people or animals.
