Leaving a pet unattended in a hot vehicle isn't just dangerous; it's a crime.

California Penal Code § 597.7 makes it illegal to leave an animal in a vehicle when conditions could endanger their health or well-being. Temperatures inside a parked car can become deadly in just minutes.

If it's too hot for your pet to safely wait in the car, leave them at home.

There are no excuses when it comes to protecting our animals. Help us keep pets safe this week and all summer long.
