Here’s how you can experience the new Hollywood Burbank Airport terminal before it opens 

Airport enthusiasts have the chance to get a firsthand look at the new Hollywood Burbank Airport terminal before it opens to the public this fall. 

The airport is asking community members to take part in a passenger simulation trial, where participants will go through a typical airport experience – without actually leaving — but they will be assigned a mock flight and go through a typical travel journey, starting from parking all the way to the gate.  

They will then be asked to complete a short survey to share their feedback on the terminal experience, both inside and out.

As a bonus, airport officials are giving out unique BUR swag. 

The event is scheduled for Sept. 19 from 9 a.m. to noon. 

The new terminal is scheduled to open in October.
