We're getting ready to blast off on our biggest "Endeavour" yet with the opening of the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center on November 13, 2026. 

Soon, you will be able to reserve timed entry to see space shuttle Endeavour in launch position in the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center. Reservations aren't open yet, but they'll lift off first for California Science Center Members before opening up to all guests. Plus, Members will get to take advantage of special preview opportunities in October!

Will I need a ticket to visit the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center and what is the cost? 
General admission to the California Science Center is free. However, advanced timed entry reservations for the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center, including space shuttle Endeavour, will be strongly encouraged and available for a small service fee. Due to anticipated demand, entry may be limited—or unavailable—without an advanced reservation.

When will timed entry reservations be available?
Please visit our website, look out for our e-newsletter, or follow us on social media for updates. California Science Center Members will receive advance access to timed entry reservations before they open to the general public. Endeavour Launches for STS-47

Space shuttle Endeavour climbed skyward on September 12, 1992, for the launch of STS-47, NASA's 50th space shuttle mission. The second flight of Endeavour marked a number of historic crew milestones: the first space flight of an African-American woman, the first Japanese astronaut to fly on a space shuttle, and the first married couple to fly in space.

Endeavour Takes to the Skies From Kennedy Space Center

On September 19, 2012, space shuttle Endeavour departed Kennedy Space Center in Florida to embark on its journey to its new home at the California Science Center, taking to the skies atop NASA's Shuttle Carrier Aircraft one last time. 

Endeavour Completes Its Grand Tour of California

 Do you remember?  14 years ago, on the 21st of September, space shuttle Endeavour completed its historic flyover across California and landed at LAX before heading to its final home at the California Science Center.
