You can request free dog waste bags and refill rolls directly from the City of Los Angeles through the LA Sanitation & Environment Educational Resources page.
How to Order Free Dog Waste Bags
- Online Request: Visit the LA Sanitation Educational Resources and scroll down to the dog waste bag request form.
- Email Request: Send an email to [email protected] with your full name and mailing address.
- Phone Request: Call LA Sanitation at (800) 974-9794.
Program Details
- Eligibility: You must be a resident of the City of Los Angeles.
- What You Get: A refillable leash canister containing about 15 dog waste bags, or a roll of refill bags if you already have a container.
- Cost: Completely free (offered while supplies last as part of the City’s stormwater pollution prevention program).
- Disposal Rule: Always place used, tightly tied pet waste bags into your curbside black trash bin (do not put pet waste in green organic/yard waste bins).
