SOUND THE ALARM • Sylmar Event • Volunteers Needed

With the recent home fire tragedy here in Sylmar, we all are reminded how important fire safety can be. That’s why the American Red Cross and the Sylmar Neighborhood Council are rallying volunteers to install free smoke alarms, as part of the Sound the Alarm events.

We’ll install free smoke alarms, create escape plans, and share fire safety information.

Join us for a rewarding day at a Sound the Alarm event here in SYLMAR. We are hoping that this is the first of many more dates and areas of Sylmar to be served.

Saturday, December 16 (10:00 am - 1:00 pm)

**VOLUNTEERS will also be needed a week before to canvas the chosen area for the installations ((either Dec. 9th, Dec. 11th, or Dec. 12th)) "The area for this event is near the I-5, from Telfair Ave. to San Fernando Rd. In between Bledsoe St. and Oro Grande St." Again other areas will be included at a later date. You do not need to live in the area to Volunteers. All are welcome to Help!
