Holiday story from my Sylmar childhood.
As a little boy, who at times was not so well-behaved. Around the holidays, one of the "tricks" my parents would use. They would point at the lights at the top of our Sylmar mountains and tell me, "Oh, look, the lights are on at the Grinch's house. He must be watching and looking for all of the naughty kids".
If you have little ones, do what you will with this information.
50+ years later, I still kinda snicker when I look up and see the lights are on up the mountain.
