CINEMA

Committee Name CINEMA (Formaly Media, Movie & Arts Committee)

Community Initiative for Neighborhood Engagement in Media Arts

Vision Summary:

CINEMA envisions a thriving partnership between the film and media arts industry and the local community.

By championing creative talent, fostering inclusive collaboration, and supporting both established studios and emerging artists, CINEMA serves as a bridge between neighborhood values and the transformative power of storytelling.

We believe in a community where film and media are not only sources of entertainment and employment, but also tools for cultural expression, education, and economic opportunity.

Through strategic support, advocacy, and hands-on engagement, CINEMA works to:

Elevate local voices through access to film and media opportunities.

Support the creative workforce in all stages of production — from script to screen.

Partner with studios and industry leaders to bring long-term investment and jobs to the neighborhood.

Promote community-first storytelling that reflects the richness and diversity of our residents.

Create inclusive pathways into the entertainment industry for underrepresented and aspiring talent.
