The City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) is conducting the RIDER Study:
Real Inputs Driving Everyday Routes to strengthen and modernize its transit services. This
citywide study focuses on gathering feedback from riders and community members to help
improve services including DASH, Commuter Express, LAnow microtransit, and Cityride Dial-a-
Ride.
The RIDER Study aims to improve safety and rider satisfaction, enhance reliability and on-time
performance, optimize routes and services, and better align LADOT transit with other
transportation networks. The study will also help prepare the City for upcoming major events such
as the 2026 FIFA World Cup, 2027 Super Bowl, and the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
LADOT is especially interested in hearing from DASH riders about what is working well and where
service could be better. Your feedback will help shape recommendations to improve DASH service
and ensure it continues to meet the needs of neighborhoods across Los Angeles.
To participate, please complete a short online survey by Sunday, March 22, 2026. As a thank-you,
everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a $50 gift card.
