Pedestrian Facilities Inventory and Condition Assessment Pilot Project

The Bureau of Engineering recently launched the Pedestrian Facilities Inventory and Condition Assessment Pilot Project. This pilot aims to identify the minimum requirements, needs, technologies, and costs required to perform a citywide inventory and assessment of pedestrian facilities within the public right-of-way (pedestrian facilities mean sidewalks, curb ramps, crosswalks, pedestrian signals, bus stops, etc.).
 
The pilot will test various technologies in representative locations to determine the most cost-effective approach for capturing this information throughout the city. The bureau is seeking public input through a stakeholder survey.
