The Mayor’s Office of Community Safety is excited to announce Summer Night Lights 2026. One of the office's Summer Safety strategies is the Summer Night Lights program. This initiative is designed to promote community safety and provide a positive environment for communities during the summer months with GRYD (Gang Reduction and Youth Development) service providers and Recreation and Parks.
Summer Night Lights events typically include sports, arts, entertainment, and resources with extended hours during the summer evenings. This creates a safe space for families, young people, and others to gather, away from potentially dangerous activities. Local parks and recreation centers are often the hubs for these activities.
