NEW Building coming to Sylmar - INPUT NOT ACCEPTED

Posted on 08/25/2025

There is a new apartment building that has been approved by the City of Los Angeles and is set to go in on the corner of Polk and Dronfield.

This is a 5-story building with 354 apartments, with no required or planned parking spaces.

Back in November 2024, one of the planners/developers of this project came to the Sylmar Neighborhood Council's Planning and Land Use Committee to communicate their plans for this project. The committee at that time explained how devastating this project would be for our community.

The Sylmar Neighborhood Council was never consulted, communicated with, in fact, was left in the dark. Fast forward to February 2025, the City of Los Angeles approved this project with NO APPEALS and again, No COMMUNICATION.

The Neighborhood Council voted unanimously against this project.

This project is completely against the official LA City/Sylmar Community Plan -  https://www.sylmarneighborhoodcouncil.org/assets/photos/13/page650bd5c4d2676.pdf
